The new development consists of a 20-storey development along site a 9-storey residential block above a carpark that covers the entire site. The ground Floor being a commercial development with residential units over.
The construction was an RC frame with curved steelwork to form the striking curved façade of the building.
The prominent site was originally a multi-story office block supported on piled foundations. However, once CSP become involved it was clear that the existing pile locations had not been considered within the existing scheme design. There was insufficient room on the site to provide new pile locations between the existing Following detailed investigations, testing and calculations CSP reused the existing piles and supplemented these with new piles whilst designing the structure to accommodate the potential for differential movement.
