The development consisted of an extension to an existing twelve-storey hotel in Feltham. The extension structure is a fourteen-storey structure formed in insitu reinforced concrete frame on piled foundations with concrete stability walls and flat slab construction up to twelfth-storey, followed by steel framed structure forming curved roof shape above to complement existing roof. Connection at roof level has been challenging due to level differences and the shape of the roof, which required careful phased exposure during the works whilst maintaining the use of the hotel throughout the duration of the project.
