Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC)

CSP can offer solutions, and has been involved with rectifying problems with RAAC. We also have the well-known Consultant Professor Narayanan working with CSP.

Professor Narayana is the actual author of the 2002 Building Research Establishment report BRE445 Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Panels:

Review of the behaviour and developments in assessment and design. The report identified the unique characteristics of RAAC and their behaviour. It also outlined guidance for the inspection of buildings with RAAC units.

The advice of BRE445 and the BRE Information Papers remains valid today, and as mentioned, CSP Consulting Engineers have been highly involved in inspecting buildings with RAAC units. We can offer inspection services backed by specific expertise.
