Clark Smith Partnership has worked on a number of Waste Transfer projects including new autoclaves for clinical waste operation, extensions to clinical waste buildings, welfare facilities for recycling centres, composting facilities and several projects with London Waste. We also have a great deal of experience with water/sewage treatment works & pumping stations projects including designing piling requirements and performance specifications, working out general arrangements and R.C. details of all reinforced concrete elements, together with the bending schedules and specifications and designing drainage layouts, details and specification. We have also designed salt saturation bunds in liaison with Thames Water, refurbished pump houses and chemical buildings. Further to our environmental projects we have also been appointed on several projects involving power generation including the detailed design of the City of London Combined Heat & Power—Charterhouse CHP Station supplying power to the Corporation of London’s major buildings in the City which included façade retentions, building retention over the Snow Hill Tunnel on a 1920s transfer deck and complex foundation design due to the proposed Crossrail Link.
