We have undertaken work on many historic and listed buildings.  In particular our project “unlocking the archives” was the winner of the 2005 British Construction Industry Awards—Judges Special Award made each year for the building or Civil Engineering project of any size that the judges considered to be particularly inspirational.  The development at the RGS site was very sensitive due to its siting adjacent to Listed Buildings and the very high water table.  The existing RGS gardens had a half storey drop in level and the new structure was sited to minimize loss of open space by being partially submerged into soft landscaping, including the new roof structure.  The development was for the new display and archive storage of very sensitive information including “Scott of the Antarctic” artifacts.

In 2000 we were fortunate enough to be involved in the remodeling of the Battle of Britain Monument on Victoria Embankment in London.  This project was the winner of the Civic Trust Award from Westminster Council and to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the Monument was unveiled by HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH the Duchess of Cornwall, in the presence of  survivors of the Few.

We have also won Civic Trust awards for our work in Worcester and at Walsall Bus Station.
