50 Berkeley Street was built in the 1920s as the headquarters for Thomas Cook. Burford bought the building in 1997, together with 50 Stratton Street, which formed a one acre, island site, and have carried out a major redevelopment, in two phases. CSP were commissioned to provide structural engineering services for the redevelopment.
50 Berkeley Street was remodelled, including extensive demolition and reconstruction at upper levels, to provide 14,960m2 of high quality offices on eight floors, with restaurant and retail at ground floor and basement levels.
